Kodie has a vibrant personality and loving nature. She entails everything a labrador should. Her willingness to please is something that shines every day. Whenever I approach her or approach the kennel area, no sooner does she see me coming and she immediately runs away to find a toy or stick to bring to me. She simply must bring me a ‘gift‘ every time! – the true labrador retrieving instinct and willingness to please. She was very easily trainable from day one, because her food drive and desire for praise and reward is high. She has her Australian Champion title (gained 2019), Community Companion Dog title (2018), and is obedience and show trained.

Achievements and Awards
In the show ring
Probably the most encouraging moment was Kodie being awarded Best of Breed on her very first day of showing ever at an adult age of 18 months old (handled by myself – at that time very amateur in showing). Winning Best of Breed on her first day of showing really speaks volumes about her conformation quality.
Kodie has been awarded numerous Best of Breed awards since, and Best Intermediate in Group. She is well on her way to gaining her Australian Champion title, and continues to be shown in the Conformation ring.

Obedience Titles
Kodie obtained her Community Companion Dog title in July 2018, with scores of 95/100, 86/100, 83/100, 95/100, 97/100.
Her excellent scores saw her win Highest Scoring in Trial awards and accompanying ribbons!
At the Dog’s Victoria State Trial in August 2018, she also placed in the top three in the STATE Obedience Trials in CCD.
Kodie gained her Rally Novice Title in July 2018, with scores of 97/100, 98/100, 97/100, 90/100, 96/100, and 91/100. That’s a pretty amazing average!
